Praxy Cladding is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, and community. We believe that every person has the right to work and interact in a safe environment, and we take this responsibility very seriously.

Our excellent health and safety record is a testament to our unwavering dedication to creating and maintaining a safe workplace. We have implemented rigorous safety protocols and procedures, and we constantly strive to improve our practices to ensure the well-being of everyone who interacts with our company.

Praxy Cladding recognizes that health and safety is not only a legal requirement but a moral obligation. We will continue to prioritize health and safety in all aspects of our business operations and maintain our commitment to creating a safe environment for our employees, customers, and community.

As such, we are very close to attaining our Certificate of Recognition (COR®), a national accreditation standard that verifies full implementation of an employer’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

The Management Team of Praxy Cladding believes that all Employees have the right to work in a safe and healthy work environment. They are committed to continuously improving the Health and Safety of its Staff Members, Contractors, the general public and the environment. Recognizing that Health and Safety is a shared responsibility between the Management and the Staff Members, the achievement of this Policy requires the full cooperation of everyone in the workplace.

Praxy Cladding Corp. will meet and, where possible, exceed the letter and intent of all applicable Legislation. This will be accomplished by providing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment and by providing education and regular training to perform daily activities of operation safely. We are committed to taking every reasonable precaution to protect Staff Members from illness & injuries. Our major ongoing objective is to continuously improve our Health & Safety Program by establishing and reviewing annual goals and objectives.

All Management Team Members and Supervisors have an obligation to ensure that Staff Members work in a safe manner and with the protective devices, measures and procedures required. This includes advising Staff Members of the existence of any potential or actual danger to their Health and Safety which they are aware of. Supervisors will also take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of the Staff Members.

Staff Members will receive adequate training in their specific work tasks to protect their Health and Safety. Every Staff Member, Sub-Contractor and Employee of Sub-Contractor, will protect their own Health and Safety and any other persons within the workplace by following the applicable Legislation, and Praxy Cladding’s Safe Work Practices and Procedures.

All Staff Members are expected to consider Health and Safety in every activity. A commitment to Health and Safety will form an essential part of this organization. Everyone is required to support the Occupational Health and Safety Program and make sure that Health and Safety is a part of their daily routine by following safe work methods and relevant regulations.

Safety, customer service, and sales must receive equal priority. No job shall be considered so important that time cannot be taken to do it safely. Neglect of one’s Health and Safety duties will not be tolerated nor shall it be sacrificed for expediency.

Praxy Cladding Corp. has a Return to Work Program that all members of the workplace have a shared responsibility to actively participate in when required.

Praxy Cladding Corp. (PCC) believes that:

  • Communication is the key to a healthy, safe and productive workplace
  • Open and honest two-way communication with their Staff Members is the greatest tool that they have available to them to enhance the effectiveness of their safety program
  • Health & Safety communication needs to be a daily on-going occurrence
  • Staff Member active and on-going engagement in the safety program is essential

PCC will take every reasonable opportunity to communicate and promote Health and Safety to its Staff Members using the various means available to it, this includes but not limited to:

  • The full use of the www.Praxysafety.ca website
  • Weekly & daily JSA meetings
  • Safety Talks, Hazard Notifications, etc.
  • Reporting on lessons learned after an incident

Staff Members are encouraged and expected to REPORT situations, incidents, concerns, occurrences, ideas and suggestions. They should do so fully knowing that reprisals for their commitment to safety will not be tolerated, no matter the source.

 

Praxy Cladding Corp. (PCC) considers the training of its staff members one of the cornerstones of a solid Health and Safety Program.

PCC has profiled Health and Safety requirements for each Staff Member based on their job hazards. It is essential that all Staff Members be trained and competent to safely perform their duties in accordance with the applicable legislation, industry standards, our various Policies, and Procedures/Practices.

Staff Members with specialized job assignments outside the normal job classification will be assigned additional training requirements, as needed.

PCC has arranged for online training through OperationSafety Health & Safety Services. When the OperationSafety On-Line Training Program cannot provide the required training, PCC will outsource such training to a competent provider.

PCC will ensure through its Health and Safety Training Program that anyone likely to perform managerial or supervisory functions is “Competent” as defined by the Legislation.

Safety Teams Members will receive additional training to ensure that they are active and effective in performing their functions.

The Management Team, Supervisors and Safety Team will ensure that all Staff Members are trained on the safe operation of equipment they are to user before they use the equipment.
